Chelsea Mills Honored for 16 Years of Leadership with Career Connections

Since 2008, Chelsea Mills has proudly served as Chairman of the Career Connections Committee for the Fenton & Linden Regional Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, the committee has grown into a powerful program that connects approximately 100 young women and 100 young men from Lake Fenton, Fenton, and Linden High Schools with industry professionals for a day of career exploration, networking, and soft skills development. Each year, students hear from a dynamic keynote speaker and participate in workshops focused on topics such as credit and debit management, as well as social media etiquette.

Chelsea was especially honored to serve as the lead facilitator for the “Young Women in the Workforce” event, a role she found deeply rewarding. With both of her children now graduated from high school, Chelsea decided to pass the baton and step back from the committee.

In recognition of her years of dedicated service, she was recently surprised and celebrated at the Chamber’s Networking Around Noon event. Chelsea shared, “It has been an honor to be part of something so inspirational and fulfilling for so many years.”
