Preparing for expo and trade show season without the stress

February 4, 2026

Expo and trade show season is an exciting time for many businesses. It is your chance to show up in person, meet potential customers, and put your brand front and center. It can also feel overwhelming when you start thinking about everything that needs to be done.

From booth design and signage to giveaways and marketing materials, there are a lot of moving parts. That is where planning ahead and having the right support can make all the difference. Behind Your Design works with businesses every year to help make expo season easier and more successful.

Start with clear goals

Before anything is designed or ordered, it helps to define what you want to get out of the show. Are you focused on generating leads, building brand awareness, launching something new, or making connections?

Behind Your Design helps clients walk through these questions, because your goals should help guide every decision. When your goals are clear, it becomes much easier to determine what your booth should look like, what materials you need, and what giveaways will make the most sense.

Your booth should clearly represent your brand

Your trade show booth is often the first impression someone has of your business. It should feel like an extension of your brand and tell your story quickly and clearly.

Behind Your Design helps ensure your booth feels cohesive and intentional. Using signage, graphics, printed materials and apparel everything should work together so attendees understand who you are and what you do within just a few seconds of stopping by.

Choosing giveaways with purpose

Giveaways are a big part of trade shows, but the best ones are chosen intentionally. The right item can start a conversation, reinforce your brand, and keep your business top of mind long after the event is over.

Behind Your Design helps you select a giveaway that fits the goals you have set for your expo experience, as well as your audience and budget. And if you think it might be too late to order, ask us anyway. Some of our suppliers have the ability to make things happen when time is of the essence.

Behind Your Design Can Help at Any Stage

Every business comes into expo season at a different point. Some need help with everything from start to finish. Others already have pieces in place and just need support filling in the gaps.

Behind Your Design is here to help make expo and trade show preparation easier, whether you need help with the entire booth or just one last piece. Our goal is to make it easy for you to enhance your booth experience for attendees without adding stress to your plate. If you have an upcoming expo on your calendar, we would love to help you get ready.

Branded apparel doesn’t have to mean choosing one shirt, one color and hoping everyone likes it. A custom online store gives people more ways to find something that fits their personal style while still representing your brand. At Behind Your Design, we create custom pop-up stores year-round for businesses, organizations, teams, events and special campaigns. With more options for apparel styles, colors, sizes and decoration methods, a custom store can turn branded apparel into something people are genuinely excited to order and wear. A Fresh Take on Pure Barre Apparel We recently created custom stores for Pure Barre that show just how much personality you can bring to branded apparel. For our local Pure Barre studio, we created a collegiate-inspired collection featuring block chenille lettering reminiscent of classic game-day apparel. It gave the Pure Barre brand a completely different look while still feeling cohesive, recognizable and wearable. We also created a seasonal Halloween and Breast Cancer Awareness store that was made available to Pure Barre studios across the country. The collection combined a timely theme with a larger purpose, giving studios access to special apparel while also supporting a breast cancer fundraiser. These stores can be seasonal, tied to a fundraiser or event, or simply created to give your brand a fresh, creative twist.

Reusable bags are one of those promotional products that just make sense. They’re practical, versatile and give your brand plenty of room to be seen. But there’s always one problem: remembering to actually bring them with you. That’s what makes a foldable reusable bag such a smart option. Instead of taking up space when it’s not being used, it folds down into a compact size that’s easy to keep close by. Toss it in a purse, backpack, glove compartment or desk drawer, and it’s ready when you need it.
