Get in The Game of Branded Merchandise

Custom poker and game items have recently become a popular request from BYD and we think it's a wonderful way to spice up the fun and make it memorable.

Recently we created playing cards, poker chips, and napkins featuring sponsors of the Fenton Education Foundation Texas Hold 'Em and Poker Night. The event was used to raise funds for the Fenton Education Foundation which awards grants within the Fenton School District to support education. The event saw 200 attendees and raised a total of $13,000+ for students. St. John Catholic School also requested custom dry-erase Euchre score boards, poker chips, coasters, engraved glasses, and golf ball prizes for their game night event. Check out the images below.

Events like these are a great opportunity to get your name out there and build brand visibility. Sponsoring events and having items with your branding on it bring awareness to participants that you are an active supporter of your community and helping in making the event a success. This increases the likelihood that you will be thought of when other opportunities arise.

What are the benefits of custom branded merchandise?

Custom branding on practical items that can be used regularly or given away like playing cards, poker chips, and dry-erase boards extend the life of your message beyond a single event and therefore your brand gains more exposure and visibility over its life of use. When these items are given away and traded they can expand your brand's reach to new customers. Custom branded items are also more likely to be used and kept longer than generic mass produced items as they tend to hold more sentimental value.

Branded items for events help to make your event more memorable. When an event includes a specific name of a brand, the association makes the event become more recognizable and specific allowing for better recollection and reference of the individual event instead of something generic. "Poker Night at BYD" seems a bit dull and predictable, but "BYD Poker Night" seems much more exciting as you are representing the event instead of just being there. With custom items you can create a great memorable brand experience for those that come across it.

Let’s be honest—when’s the last time you actually looked at the “Meet the Team” section on your website? Not skimmed it. Not clicked past it. I mean really looked. If it’s been a few years, there’s a good chance that what’s up there doesn’t match the reality of your team today. Maybe Susan grew out her bangs, or Greg hasn’t worn a tie since 2019. Maybe two of the smiling faces in your header moved on ages ago—and yet, there they are, frozen in pixels like ghosts of small business past. It's nothing to be ashamed of. We've all been there. But here's the thing: your team photos aren't just filler. They're first impressions. They're trust-builders. And if they’re out-of-date, awkward, or clearly cropped from someone's wedding—well, you’re not exactly rolling out the welcome mat. Let’s talk about why updating those photos is one of the simplest, most effective ways to level up how people see your business. That “Stock Photo” Energy? Yeah, People Can Tell You know what’s worse than old team photos? Generic ones. We’ve all seen those painfully stiff group shots—everyone lined up like they’re auditioning for a corporate crime drama. Or worse, the fake handshake photos. (Why are those still a thing?) Customers and clients can smell fake a mile away. In a time when people crave authenticity—real faces, real stories—those overly polished, clearly staged images just don’t cut it anymore. What works? Real teams, real smiles, real settings. We recently worked with Women’s Integrated Health Care , which has locations in Grand Blanc, Clarkston, Davison, Fenton, Marlette, and Sandusky. Their team was incredible—warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. Our photo shoot focused on capturing that exact energy. Not just headshots, but moments that reflect how they care for their patients and support each other. That authenticity? It jumps off the screen.
