New Logo for the Energy Storage Systems Scout Motors

Behind Your Design recently had the exciting opportunity to work with Scout Motors, a leader in the electric vehicle space known for reviving the spirit of American off-road adventure. As part of their growing innovations, Scout launched a new Energy Storage Systems division—and they needed a brand identity that reflected their rugged legacy and forward-thinking mission.

When it comes to Scout, the imagery is iconic: electric vehicles cutting through mountainous terrain, built for the trail, and ready for adventure. This spirit of exploration and strength was at the heart of our inspiration for the project.

Our team designed a custom logomark that blends natural ruggedness with electric energy. The design features a stylized mountain silhouette—a nod to Scout’s off-road DNA. At the center of the mark, we incorporated a lightning bolt, cleverly shaped to resemble a winding trail, symbolizing energy, movement, and the path ahead. This visual metaphor ties together the ideas of storage, power, and the pioneering journey Scout is known for.

In addition to the logo, we developed a range of branded apparel to unite the team behind the new division with a cohesive and professional look. The designs maintain the brand’s outdoorsy, bold feel, with clean lines and purposeful design that complements Scout’s overall aesthetic.

This project was a perfect example of how thoughtful branding can reflect both heritage and innovation. We’re proud to have played a part in supporting Scout Motors as they expand into energy storage, and we can’t wait to see where the trail leads next.

A Polished Pen with a Purpose

Sometimes, the simplest promotional products make the biggest impact! We really enjoyed working with Notre Dame Prep to create these custom red pens for The Amazing Shake competition. Featuring both the school's logo and The Amazing Shake logo with a sleek silver imprint, they're a simple way to showcase both brands. The Amazing Shake is a competition that helps students build important life skills, including communication, professionalism, and confidence. Branded pens are a practical way to commemorate an event like this. They're something attendees can take home, use again and again, and remember the experience long after it's over. Inside and Out: Custom Umbrellas for Crim Fitness Foundation

A great staff appreciation gift should be thoughtful, useful and connected to the organization. For the Crim Fitness Foundation , custom reverse umbrellas combined function with standout branding. These 46-inch umbrellas feature full-color sublimation on both sides of the canopy, giving the Crim brand plenty of room to make an impact. Branded Inside and Out The outside features the Crim Fitness Foundation logo and brand colors. Open the umbrella, and custom artwork of runners making their way through Flint is revealed inside. Using colors from the Crim brand, the artwork celebrates the organization’s connection to running, movement and the Flint community. Full sublimation on both sides of the canopy allows branded umbrellas to go beyond a logo. Colors, patterns, illustrations and original artwork can become part of the design.
