Meet the Residents of the Newest Facility in Grand Blanc

E mployees and residents of the Bella Vita Senior Living facility in Grand Blanc truly love the place where they work and live. Bella Vita enriches the residents lives with nature, art, music, a movie theater, entertainment and wonderful food in a safe and secure atmosphere.

Our family-orientated care environment allows us to provide individual care plans for our residents, so each resident gets exactly what they need, Mary Ketterer, executive director, explains. Not only do the residents and their families enjoy the beautiful environment, our staff does as well!

The resort-style, state-of-the-art facility quickly gained residents when it opened its doors earlier this year. Bella Vita is excited to announce it is building another new facility in Hartland, on M-59 just east of U.S. 23, which is slated to open in the summer of 2019.

Meet the Bella Vita Senior Living Residents

Colleen Merrithew loves the outdoors, socializing with friends and spending time in the arts and crafts room. She is the little Southern belle and always makes sure everyone is included. Colleen enjoys dressing to the nines, and her clothes and jewelry are always impeccable. She is truly a special lady whom everyone enjoys spending time with.

I love the active lifestyle my mom (Colleen) has at Bella Vita, and she is truly cared for and treated with love and respect. She loves the caregivers and administrator; they feel like family.

Gerry Hohn is the resident sports fan at Bella Vita. She is full of spunk and you can always catch her watching the Detroit Tigers whenever they are on TV. The other part of her day is spent working on her various art projects, which she loves to share with her friends and caregivers. Her charismatic personality resonates with everything she does, and you will never find her sitting alone in the dining room at mealtime.

I m amazed at the kindness of all the caregivers at Bella Vita. There are always such a variety of activities throughout the day. Each family member is always welcomed by their first name. It s truly heartwarming.

Hohn s Daughter

Let’s be honest—when’s the last time you actually looked at the “Meet the Team” section on your website? Not skimmed it. Not clicked past it. I mean really looked. If it’s been a few years, there’s a good chance that what’s up there doesn’t match the reality of your team today. Maybe Susan grew out her bangs, or Greg hasn’t worn a tie since 2019. Maybe two of the smiling faces in your header moved on ages ago—and yet, there they are, frozen in pixels like ghosts of small business past. It's nothing to be ashamed of. We've all been there. But here's the thing: your team photos aren't just filler. They're first impressions. They're trust-builders. And if they’re out-of-date, awkward, or clearly cropped from someone's wedding—well, you’re not exactly rolling out the welcome mat. Let’s talk about why updating those photos is one of the simplest, most effective ways to level up how people see your business. That “Stock Photo” Energy? Yeah, People Can Tell You know what’s worse than old team photos? Generic ones. We’ve all seen those painfully stiff group shots—everyone lined up like they’re auditioning for a corporate crime drama. Or worse, the fake handshake photos. (Why are those still a thing?) Customers and clients can smell fake a mile away. In a time when people crave authenticity—real faces, real stories—those overly polished, clearly staged images just don’t cut it anymore. What works? Real teams, real smiles, real settings. We recently worked with Women’s Integrated Health Care , which has locations in Grand Blanc, Clarkston, Davison, Fenton, Marlette, and Sandusky. Their team was incredible—warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. Our photo shoot focused on capturing that exact energy. Not just headshots, but moments that reflect how they care for their patients and support each other. That authenticity? It jumps off the screen.
