New Website Design for Horses Haven
New Responsive Website Design!
At Behind Your Design, we know that a thoughtfully designed website does more than just look good—it helps organizations connect, grow, and serve their communities more effectively. Our recent collaboration with Horses’ Haven, a nonprofit equine rescue in Howell, Michigan, is a great example of how digital tools can make a big difference in the real world.
Helping People Find the Right Match
One of our top priorities was to improve the way Horses’ Haven showcases their adoptable equines. To do that, we built a custom filter that allows users to easily sort horses based on gender and whether the horse is suitable for riding or companionship. This makes it easier for potential adopters to find a good match—and for horses to find their forever homes.
We also created custom sections for each horse, giving visitors a more complete and personal view of every animal available for adoption. These pages include important details like temperament, history, and ideal home environment, helping adopters feel confident and informed in their decisions.
Streamlining the Adoption & Surrender Process
Transitions can be emotional—for both animals and humans—so we helped Horses’ Haven by building out several new pages with helpful information and forms for both the adoption and surrender processes. Clear, compassionate guidance was a key part of the design, helping visitors navigate their next steps with ease.
Calling All Volunteers
While adopting is one way to support Horses’ Haven, another powerful way to get involved is through volunteering. The organization relies on dedicated helpers for everything from barn chores and grooming to fundraising and event support. We made sure their website clearly highlights the many volunteer opportunities available, with easy ways to learn more and sign up.
